An illustrator and pseudo-anthropologist, Mike Dowdall has studied the North American Coot and Biddy for the last three decades.
Portions of his exhaustive research have been published in 7 books. One of these was a bestseller entitled, “Humans” from Simon and Schuster. He is furiously working on a new book to be entitled “Coots”.
Mike Dowdall has spent so much of his life studying and living among the Coots that he himself is starting to look and act like an ol’ Coot himself.
This does not trouble him a bit as he says, “Becoming an old Coot is a state of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
